The Island of Many Nations

Islands are beautiful in that there are so many influences. The island of Puerto Rico has a rich and diverse history.

The Ortoiroid were the first to inhabit the island followed by the Saladoid and the Arawak. The Taino occupied the island when Christopher Columbus came, What followed afterwards was a slew of European nations: Spain, the Netherlands, England, France, Italy, and Ireland, each country bringing African slaves.

Like a beautiful rainbow these nations helped form the Puerto Rico of today and it's beautiful people. In fact, according to a Berkeley professor in 2014, the closest to the perfect genetic type is a Puerto Rican woman. It is due to her ancestry, which allows her to possess the ideal genotype.

It's enlightening to know that the mixing of races can produce such a diverse and an enchanting people.
