It has been my dream from childhood to write a book. Not just any book, but a book from the heart that comes from the desire for awareness and change. Since the debut of my book two weeks ago, I have been deeply rewarded by the positive reception and the wonderful feedback from everyone around me. Now, to be getting critical acclaim from professional reviewers who do this for a living, has truly been a dream come true for me.
Song of the Boricua is the culmination of six years of writing. I wrote everywhere, in between appointments, on trips, during the difficult and the happy times. I just wrote, so I quote Nike to all who have a dream in their heart, "Just do it." It’s never too late to make a dream come true.
