Latina Showcase
The last few months have been a whirlwind of growth for me. I launched my first book at the end of July, Song of the Boricua, and am culminating the year with my first Latina showcase.
It will be honor to share the stage with Sylvia Mendoza and Diana Saenz, two very accomplished authors.
Orange County needs a forum for Latina authors to be represented. Maria Guerra an amazing entrepreneur and inspirational motivator, national spokeswoman for the American Heart association, and owner of Hardcore Studio is allowing us to use her venue.
To be an author today in a man’s world, trying to inspire others isn’t easy. Our world is a dark place today. The daily news is filled with stories that can lead us to despair about the state of the world.
The written word is becoming something of the past. With the onslaught of social media, magazines, and real books are taking a back seat. Authors today have to find other ways to get the word out. With the bookstore being a thing of the past and newspapers losing subscribers, to be seen and heard is difficult.
To be part of something that provides hope and inspiration in a dark world is really a gift and in the season of giving, I am hoping it will be a gift to all who attend and listen to our stories.
Come Sunday December 16th and be inspired!
